I may officially be fired from the Goth Ensemble of Great Britain. This is because I bought an album by fey, folk, classical duo Shelleyan Orphan. A friend at college introduced me to them in 1987 and I was quite taken, then today I suddenly had an urge to listen to them again. So now I’m quietly chilling at work to chirping cellos, swooping vocals and melodic strings. They are worth a listen.
Sadly that means I am a sham of a Goth – although I did buy the remastered version of First And Last And Always by the Sisters of Mercy yesterday so they may still allow me in.
